First Ladies 2s Friendly

After a last minute hunt for players the night before, the Ladies 2s went to Droitwich with 11, and managed to come away with a 3 nil win!
2 Goals from Martina after excellent runs from her, Liz S and Tess and a short corner slip in from Rom.

The game really came from behind with the defenders directing play, stopping any runs through and pushing the game out to the sides and back up the field, and GK Charlie belting away any that slipped through to keep a clean sheet.

Second half, after a slight reformation, the 2s played well, with lots of communication and pushing the ball out wide to use the legs of Kat and Tess running down the wing, and a couple of drives towards goal from Lizzy B on her first game back at hockey!

The team used the short corners they won by practicing the different options and even though only once resulted in a goal, they figured out what worked and what didn't, so they can continue to make the most of these going forwards into the season.

All in all a great start to the season! Lets keep it up :)
